Resize Image to Exact Pixels

Set an exact width and height in pixels, or scale your image down by percentage. The aspect ratio stays locked by default, so nothing gets stretched. It runs in your browser, so nothing is uploaded.

🔒 Runs in your browser — your image is never uploaded

How to resize an image

  1. Upload your image (JPG, PNG, or WebP).
  2. Type the width you want in pixels — the height fills in automatically to keep the shape.
  3. Or tap 75%, 50% or 25% to scale the whole image down.
  4. Click Resize, then download your image at the new size.

Resize Image — FAQ

How do I resize an image to exact pixels?

Upload your image, type the width you want in pixels, and the height fills in automatically to keep the original shape. Then click Resize and download the result. If you need a specific height instead, type that and the width adjusts.

How do I resize an image without stretching it?

Leave the 'Keep the original shape' box ticked. Changing the width updates the height automatically so the proportions stay the same. Untick it only if you deliberately want to stretch or squash the image.

Does resizing reduce the file size too?

Usually yes — fewer pixels means a smaller file. But resizing targets dimensions, not file size. If a form asks for an exact KB limit, resize first, then use the compress tool to hit the exact number.

What image formats can I resize?

JPG, PNG, and WebP. The output keeps your original format, so a transparent PNG stays transparent. iPhone HEIC files aren't supported here yet — convert them to JPG first.

Is my image uploaded to a server?

No. This tool runs entirely inside your browser. Your image never leaves your device, so nothing is uploaded anywhere.

Need an exact file size instead?

Resizing changes the pixel dimensions. If a form asks for an exact file size — under 50 KB, for example — use the compress toolafter resizing. For a specific exam's photo specs, the exam photo guides set both at once.
