Rotate & Flip Image

Rotate a photo left or right, or flip it horizontally or vertically, with a live preview. The usual fix for a sideways photo or a mirrored selfie. It runs in your browser, so nothing is uploaded.

🔒 Runs in your browser — your image is never uploaded

Rotate vs flip — what's the difference?

Rotating turns the whole image around its centre — 90° at a time — which is how you fix a photo that came out sideways or upside down.

Flipping mirrors the image without turning it: horizontal flip swaps left and right (the fix for a mirrored front-camera selfie), and vertical flip swaps top and bottom. You can combine a rotation and a flip before downloading.

How to rotate or flip an image

  1. Upload your image (JPG, PNG, or WebP).
  2. Tap Rotate left or Rotate right to turn it 90° at a time, or Flip horizontal / vertical to mirror it.
  3. Watch the live preview until it looks right.
  4. Tap Apply & download to save the corrected image.

Rotate Image — FAQ

How do I rotate an image?

Upload your image, then tap Rotate left or Rotate right to turn it 90 degrees at a time. The preview updates live so you can see the result before you download. Tap Apply & download when it looks right.

How do I flip an image?

Upload your image and tap Flip horizontal to mirror it left-to-right, or Flip vertical to mirror it top-to-bottom. Flipping horizontally is the usual fix for a selfie or mirrored photo. You can combine flips with rotation.

Why is my photo sideways, and how do I fix it?

Photos often appear sideways because the camera saved a rotation tag that some apps ignore. Uploading the photo here and rotating it re-saves the image the right way up, so it displays correctly everywhere afterward.

Does rotating an image lose quality?

Rotating by 90, 180, or 270 degrees is lossless in principle — no pixels are resampled. When the result is saved as JPG there is a small re-encoding step; saving as PNG keeps it fully lossless.

Can I flip a photo to fix a mirrored selfie?

Yes. Front-camera selfies are often saved mirrored, so text reads backwards. Tap Flip horizontal to correct it, then download.

Is my image uploaded to a server?

No. This tool runs entirely inside your browser. Your image never leaves your device, so nothing is uploaded anywhere.
